PLG in the Community

As part of its mission to give back to local communities, PACE Loan Group supports the Camden Collective through leadership, volunteering, and donations. Rafi Golberstein, PLG CEO, is on the Board of Directors and serves as the board’s treasurer. He has been involved since the organization was founded, providing help for the food shelf and organizing the financial support for the non-profit, which currently serves over 250 families with a weekly food share, youth development programs, and events that strengthen community connection.

In early December the non-profit hosted their 3rd Annual Winter Social and Coat Giveaway, an event that provides essential winter clothing to families in the Northern Minneapolis area, where Rafi and his family volunteered to gather and distribute donated coats, hats, and gloves. The nonprofit, founded in 2020, has a mission of promoting self-reliance by supplying food, clothing, and other necessities to families in North Minneapolis.

This month, PLG is also supporting the Minneapolis nonprofit Parents in Community Action, Inc. (PICA), by partaking in The Wish Tree, a PICA program that provides local companies with holiday wish lists of children from low-income families in Hennepin County. This program allows companies to give back to the community by purchasing gifts for these children and their families, who all participate in PICA’s childhood and family development program called Head Start.
